St. Joseph has always been more than a city to us—it’s home. It’s where friendships are made, families are raised, and memories are shared across generations. So when we lose one of our own, it is a loss that is felt throughout our entire community.

Today, we remember Mr. Charles Henry Franklin, a proud St. Joseph native and Lafayette High School Class of 1965 graduate. Charles was known for his smooth demeanor, sharp style, and the quiet confidence that made him unforgettable. Though he later made his home in Rantoul, Illinois, St. Joseph was forever a part of his story.

We extend our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to the Franklin family and to everyone who had the privilege of knowing Charles. May his life, his legacy, and the memories he leaves behind continue to be a blessing to all who loved him.
