🌱 Feature Friday: YWCA St. Joseph 🌱

Just like a garden needs care, support, and encouragement to grow, strong communities are built when individuals and families have access to the resources they need to thrive.

That’s why we’re proud to spotlight YWCA St. Joseph this Feature Friday. Through domestic and sexual violence advocacy, education, resources, and support services, the YWCA helps empower individuals, support survivors, and strengthen our community.

We’re excited to welcome them to the Noyes Home Block Party and encourage you to stop by their booth to learn more about the important work they do and the resources available right here in St. Joseph.

Summer Camp is almost here and this year the children in our programs are heading Around the World, June 22 – June 26.

We're excited to give our kids a week filled with laughter, learning, crafts, games, food, music, and fun adventures as we "travel" to different countries without ever leaving St. Joe.

To help make this adventure take off, we are looking for: Volunteers (a couple of hours or the whole week!)
- Individually wrapped snacks
- Drinks with less sugar or zero sugar options
- Small toys, Candy, and sugar free candy for piñatas
- Craft Supplies: • Googly eyes • Pipe cleaners • Construction paper • Markers and colored pencils • Brown paper lunch bags • Paper cups

Thank you for always supporting the children and families we serve. If you'd like to donate or volunteer, please reach out or stop by the YWCA!

There is something special about turning old pages into something beautiful. During today’s Life Skills class, our ladies got creative and made book vases, and each one turned out so unique and full of personality. What started as simple books became beautiful reminders that even things that feel worn or forgotten can be transformed into something meaningful again.

One of the best parts was seeing our employees join in right alongside the ladies. The room was filled with laughter, creativity, conversation, and connection. Those moments together matter more than people realize.

Classes like this are about more than crafts. They help create confidence, healing, community, and a sense of belonging.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the programs that help bring moments like this to life at the YWCA.
