Back-to-School Transitions Can Be Hard 💛
The back-to-school season brings excitement, but it can also bring big emotions and challenges for kids and teens.
A new school year can mean:
📚 Adjusting to new routines and expectations
😟 Increased anxiety or worries
👥 Navigating friendships and social pressures
😴 Changes in sleep and daily schedules
🎒 Feeling overwhelmed by academics or activities
💭 Difficulty expressing or managing big emotions
Sometimes, what looks like irritability, avoidance, defiance, or withdrawal is a child’s way of communicating that they’re struggling with the transition.
A little extra support can make a big difference. Therapy can provide kids and teens with a safe place to talk about what they’re experiencing, build coping skills, and develop strategies for managing the school year with greater confidence.
If your child or teen could benefit from support during the transition back to school, now is a great time to reserve a therapy spot. 💙
