After experiencing a recent stroke, Dave came to PHC ready to work toward regaining his strength and independence. Looking back on his rehabilitation stay, Dave shared how grateful he is for the care and encouragement he received along the way.

Dave especially wanted to recognize his speech therapist, Lorrie; social worker, Haley; and his favorite nurse, Kathy, for making such a positive impact on his recovery. He shared that his entire rehabilitation team provided exceptional care and helped him feel supported throughout his stay.

Dave also had plenty of compliments outside of therapy, saying the food was phenomenal and that he was very pleased with his overall experience at PHC. Most importantly, after completing his rehabilitation, Dave said he “felt like a brand-new man.”

To celebrate just how far he had come, Dave and the PHC team marked the end of his rehabilitation journey with cupcakes and a special celebration in his honor. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognize his hard work, progress, and the relationships he built during his time at PHC.

Congratulations, Dave! We are proud to have been a part of your recovery journey and wish you continued success!

Today, our team surprised our Admissions Coordinator, Haley, to celebrate her 3-year post-stroke anniversary!

We all wore red for stroke awareness and decorated her office to make the day extra special. ❤️ We are so grateful to have you back working with us and proud to celebrate your strength and journey!
