🚨Emergency at Marian Hope! 🏥
Mr. Giraffe needed a vet… luckily our little veterinary team was quick to action!🦒🩺
From listening to his heartbeat and checking his eyes and ears to giving him lots of love and care, these little vets took their jobs very seriously. ❤️
Did you know that pretend play is one of the biggest building blocks for future learning. It helps children develop the skills they’ll later use for reading, writing, problem-solving, and social success.
Through pretend play, children practice:
🩺 Communication and new vocabulary
🤝 Taking turns and working together
💭 Problem-solving and flexible thinking
💛 Empathy and caring for others
🧠 Planning, sequencing, and attention
✋ Fine motor skills through using play tools
Most children begin pretend play around 18–24 months, and by 3–5 years old, they’re creating stories, taking on different roles, and playing cooperatively with others.
If your child rarely engages in pretend play, has difficulty joining others in imaginative games, or struggles to imitate everyday activities, it may be worth talking with your pediatrician or therapist. Early support can make a big difference.
Sometimes the most important learning happens while children are simply pretending! 💚
