Hey everyone!
I know it’s been a while since my last post. I finished my 7th year of teaching and started the summer with an amazing trip to LA with a friend. During this time I was on a few different estrogen medications prepping my body for the embryo transfer.
The transfer was suppose to be this week but when I went last week to see Dr Hunter he said my endometrial lining wasn’t thick enough and we’d need to push it back a week. I was devastated. I know it’s just a week but I couldn’t stop crying, I was so ready for the next step. Waiting a week felt like a lifetime, but today Dr Hunter told me we are ready for the transfer and scheduled it for next WEDNESDAY!! I’m so so excited!
The next 10 weeks will be HARD. I will be doing injections every night as well as multiple medications to help my body play catch up to the embryo. The injections nearly killed me last time, praying I can find the strength this time around. One thing I have learned is that I’m a hell of a lot stronger than I thought I was. I want this so badly. Although I’m hurting and miserable, we are so close. Once the embryo is transferred we have to wait a few weeks before knowing if I’m pregnant. These two weeks will be tough but with the genetic testing I’m confident everything will work out.
It seems as though the days are taking forever and I’m just so antsy to get this next phase started. But I will continue to be patient, I mean we’ve been trying for 3 years, what’s a few more days? 🤞for baby summer!
