The Legacy of St. Michael

Being part of a community means many different things. Pitching in and helping out for the greater good of others is one area these ladies take to heart ❤️

Our group of helpers is affectionately referred to as the “Minnie Mouse Club” in honor of a dearly departed friend who loved all things Disney 🏰. Today, these gals received their Mouseketeer uniforms. If you see them walking around with them on they are actively on a helper’s mission!

💖Thank you to these lovely ladies for all you do to help at the Legacy of St. Michael! 💖

We want to share our thanks and deepest gratitude to Eagle Scout Troop #563 and The Lions Club for making this service project come to life for our residents!

This weekend, the Eagle Scouts built a beautiful new pergola for our courtyard for residents, families, and guests to enjoy! It truly ties together the whole space and we couldn’t thank them enough for their hard work, but we want to try!

🤩🤩THANK YOU! 🤩🤩

It’s folks like these who really show us a great example of what it means to be a part of a larger community and the value of kindness.

🎃 We’re getting our pumpkins ready for the no-carve pumpkin competition that starts next week. Residents and family members came together to work on Gardens submissions 🎃

📸 We would post pictures of them, but the competition includes voting 🗳️ and we can’t give them away just yet! But trust us, they turned out AWESOME! 🤩

🍎🍏 A little sweetness goes a long way! ❤️

We wanted to show a little extra appreciation for our amazing staff by treating them to caramel apples! 🍎✨

It’s the little gestures that remind our team how much they are valued and appreciated for everything they do each day for our residents and one another.

We are so lucky to have a team that shows up, gives their best, and makes our community a special place to call home. ❤️
Thank you for all that you do, you deserve a little sweetness! 🥰🍂

This year’s SPARK Challenge focuses on balance!
Team mates wear a controller around their necks and without using their hands, must move their body (and with it, the controller) to move their cursor to a supernova and “pop” them to reveal quiz questions.
Harder to describe than it is to do! Our Mighty Knights were all focus, baby! And they all had a great time working together on this one!
Check us out!
Tuesdays at 1- Deep Dive (learn new material for that week’s quiz questions… it’s open book!)
Wednesdays 12:45 competition with supernovas and quiz questions

🍁🌿Using q-tips rubber banded together, residents created a fall leaf effect on their tree trunk silhouette. This stamping method gives us an alternative method for painting that presents a different kind of texture than a brush stroke. 🍂🍃

🤎❤️💛We talked about how the fall colors make us feel and which we liked best. 💚🧡☺️

Did you know exercise could be FUN?🤩

Residents worked their hand-eye coordination and timing by shooting hoops 🏀 at various levels and playing table hockey! 🏒
It was a fun time full of laughs and surprise shots! (One resident revealed he was a basketball player- and it SHOWED!)

Movement with the addition of familiar games increase engagement and buy-in to exercising. As they say in basketball, “it’s a slam dunk!” 😉
