Looking at another multi-day period for intermittent rain chances beginning Tuesday evening through Wednesday night. A few thunderstorms will be possible mainly Tuesday evening with isolated chances into Wednesday. Also cannot completely rule out a stronger storm or two with gusty winds and heavy rainfall. Higher rainfall amounts expected for south-central and southeast WI with totals approaching and/or exceeding an inch through midweek.

Thunderstorms are expected to progress southeastward from Lake Superior into Upper Michigan this morning. Some storms may produce strong winds, hail, and torrential downpours. Stay weather aware this morning.

Stay aware of the skies today!

There is an Enhanced Risk (Level 3 of 5) of Severe Weather today across the area. Thunderstorms are ongoing this morning, with additional development expected throughout the morning hours. Additional storm development is possible in the mid to late afternoon.

Thunderstorms forming over MN/NW WI later this afternoon are expected to move towards the southeast and could persist into the overnight hours. The primary hazard is damaging winds (70+ mph gusts), but large hail (2 inches), heavy rain, lightning, and isolated tornadoes are all possible.

Initial thunderstorms are expected to remain as isolated cells, but may congeal into a line of storms during the evening. Be sure to have multiple ways to receive warnings, including ways that will wake you up!

Monday will be the warmest day of the week, along with an increasing risk of severe storms. Large hail, winds in excess of 60 mph and tornadoes will be possible. For the rest of the week, temperatures will be near or slightly below normal along with comfortable humidity values.

Multiple rounds of storms are expected Monday into Monday night. Strongest storms are most likely during the late afternoon and evening. Large hail 2+", strong/damaging in excess of 60 mph, isolated tornadoes and localized flooding are possible. Specific storm details are still uncertain, but significant severe weather is likely. Stay up to date with the latest forecast and have multiple ways to receive weather warnings.

🌡 An isolated strong or severe storm may be possible (< 10% chance) across the north tomorrow afternoon, though confidence is low on whether or not any storms will be able to develop. Main forecast concern continues to be increasing heat risk early next week as heat indices peak at around 95 to 105 degrees Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Moderate to major heat-related impacts are expected during this time, so consider altering any outdoor plans!

Hopefully a nice weekend is ahead!

[7/9/26] Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will come to an end this afternoon. Warm conditions continue through the weekend, along with increasing humidity. The next chance of showers and storms will be across the north on Saturday.
