Metropolitan Center for Independent Living and the MN STAR Program will be co-hosting “Introduction to Assistive Technology,” a free hybrid training on November 5th from 1:30-3:00pm!
The right tools and supports can help people do more for themselves, make choices, stay connected, and stay more involved in everyday life. This introductory training will explore how Assistive Technology can support independence, safety, communication, daily routines, and participation at home and in the community. Participants will also learn about the MN STAR Program, a free resource to all MN residents, aimed at helping people explore, try, find, and understand more about Assistive Technology.
People are welcome to attend either in person at MCIL or remotely via Microsoft Teams. MCIL is located at 530 Robert Street North, Saint Paul, 55101. Free on-site parking is available on a first come first serve basis.
