🎒The Backpack Program was a success! 🎒

Grateful to help deliver backpacks to local families and to be a part of the Lions Club making a real impact in our community 🤗

Wrapping up the Friends of Learning backpack program with one more amazing group of Saint Peter Lions 🦁 the last photo, but never the least!! This wasn’t just us; it was our whole community showing up in every way, from donations to volunteers to all the caring hands that quietly make this happen. And to the leaders who guide this effort year after year with such heart and fine‑tuned care, thank you for lifting this program and our community kids with steady kindness. So grateful for everyone who helped brighten their steps into the new school year.

Louder does not always mean clearer. When speech sounds are not coming through clearly, turning up the volume may make everything louder—including background music, sound effects, and other noise—without making the dialogue easier to understand.

Captions can definitely help fill in the missing words, but regularly needing both captions and a higher volume may be a sign that it is time to check your hearing.

Hearing care is not just about making sounds louder. It is about helping speech sound clearer and making listening feel easier.

Fun hearing fact: your ears don’t really clock out at bedtime, they keep working while your brain filters what matters and what can wait until morning.
So yes, your ears are working the night shift even when the rest of you is absolutely done for the day.

We don’t think twice about hearing the waves… until we start missing the sounds we once took for granted.

Hearing loss is gradual for most people, making it easy to overlook. But the earlier it’s identified, the more options you have to protect communication and quality of life.

Your hearing connects you to moments like these. Take care of it.

Mishearing happens to everyone, especially when there’s background noise, fast talking, or distractions. Sometimes it leads to confusion… and sometimes it leads to moments like this. 🎥🐶
