Louder does not always mean clearer. When speech sounds are not coming through clearly, turning up the volume may make everything louder—including background music, sound effects, and other noise—without making the dialogue easier to understand.

Captions can definitely help fill in the missing words, but regularly needing both captions and a higher volume may be a sign that it is time to check your hearing.

Hearing care is not just about making sounds louder. It is about helping speech sound clearer and making listening feel easier.

St. Peter’s 2026 Senior Expo was a success! Thank you to all that stopped by and said hello 👋

Despite a little AC issue, there were over 350 people in attendance!
🥫The Food Shelf received 29 lbs and $90 in donation
👓 56 pairs of eyeglasses were donated to the Lions Club
🇺🇸 One flag retired to the American Legion.
💊Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office received approximately 30 lbs in unused and expired prescription drugs.
