We would like to extend sincere gratitude to Ecumen Hospice for the thoughtful treats and care during a difficult time. Our hearts are heavy at Ecumen Prairie Hill as we mourn the loss of six beloved residents this past week. The generosity, kindness and compassionate support from our friends at Ecumen Hospice brings comfort and a bright spot to our hard-working caregivers and team. We truly appreciate it!

Today 175 years ago the Treaty of Traverse des Sioux was signed. Ecumen Prairie Hill and Sand Prairie Residents were able to learn all about this and other Nicollet County history as they recieved a tour at the Treaty Site History Center.

Ecumen Prairie Hill and Sand Prairie Residents and Staff enjoyed popsicles on the patio with some patriotic music to kick off their 4th of July weekend!

Today is National Cow Appreciation Day and we were able to virtually tour the MOO-seum and talk with the cow lady, Ruth Klossner! Ruth holds the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of cow-related items. We got to see the piece that started her collection and see the new cow crossing sign she just added. So many memories were shared.

Residents from Ecumen Prairie Hill & Sand Prairie enjoyed making patriotic crafts to celebrate America turning 250 years old!

Ecumen Prairie Hill and Sand Prairie are going to try and collect “post cards” from each state in the month of July to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday! If you have family or friends from a different state, please have them send a postcard to Ecumen St. Peter Residents at 1305 Marshall Street Saint Peter, MN 56082 OR email a photo and message to [email protected]. All the postcards and emails will be posted at both buildings (even if we get multiple from the same state). Thanks for spreading the word and we can’t wait to see them all!
