We stay close to the teachings so that when life gets loud we can remember our practice. We can remember The Practice.

Come practice with us. You absolutely positively belong here. 🙏🏽🕉️ Let us show you that yoga is so much more than the fancy postures you see on social media. It's a path of self-discovery, connection, and learning how to be human.

Just a quick reminder that Yoga Teacher Training is happening at the studio again next weekend!

Our first training weekend went so smoothly. Those of you who stayed for the full 90-minute practice seemed to really enjoy it, and those who needed to leave at the one-hour mark were still able to enjoy savasana and head out with ease. It unfolded just as we had hoped, and we're looking forward to another great weekend together.

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're always happy to help!

Practice yoga to be more present for your life.

The postures are more than shapes we create on the mat. They invite us into awareness, steadiness, and patience through connection with the breath. These are qualities we can carry with us into the rest of our lives.

Presence changes the way we navigate our human experience. It helps soften the noise, steadies the mind, and allows us to meet life with a little more ease and intention.

Join us for class this week to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore what it means to take your yoga practice off the mat and into the world.

“I'd like to suggest that you, individually, seriously consider relaxing and cultivating the skills to meet what arises as it arises without this compulsive need to have everything all planned out. The future is highly unstable, unknown, and both mercurial and in fact not here yet, so why try to have it all figured out? Develop skillful means, lightness of movement, creative ways of dealing with unexpected happenstances. You may well need such abilities, such a capacity. So you'll have to dive in and move with Faith and Devotion, and a willingness to adjust to the situation as it presents itself. I know you can do it. The question is will you?” -Lee Lozowick

This quote along with a picture of Lee lives on our altar at the studio. It has been a boon since we first read it ten years ago.

Practice. Please practice. 🙏🏽🕉️

Have you ever wondered, what is actually happening to you during a sound bath?!

It's a valid wonder. Your body isn’t just hearing sound. It is receiving vibration.

Sound moves through space and meets your anatomy.

You're mostly water and water conducts vibration extremely well. It isn’t just vibes. It is physics interacting with your biology. Steady frequencies can shift brainwaves from busy beta states into alpha + theta. The same states linked to meditation, creativity, emotional processing, and early sleep cycles.

This is why time feels strange. Your brain is literally operating differently. Your nervous system responds before your thoughts do. Steady frequencies communicate with and support the vagus nerve, which invites the body to shift from bracing + alertness into regulation + restoration.

Heart rate slows.
Breath deepens.
Body softens.

It's not about believing in anything. Your physiology responded to frequency.

Entrainment occurs. The body synchronizes to external rhythm. Just like you tap your foot to music, your internal systems organize around steady input.

This is why you can’t always explain what happened afterward. Because the shift happened in the body first. Your mind catches up later.

Sound healing isn’t about believing. It is about resonance. Entrainment. Nervous system regulation.

The quality of sound matters. Frequency, pitch, layering, dynamics, silence. This (and so much more) is considered when working with a nervous system in a sound bath at hOMe Yoga.

The attention to detail matters.

Join us this Friday (5/22) from 7-8:15pm for an evening of regulation.

Space is limited. Pre-registration is requested. 🕉️
