Today we honor the legacy of Dr. Peter C. Wassmer (1960-2023). Dr. Wassmer was an integral part of establishing the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship here at HCA Florida Northside Hospital in 2009, and over his many years of teaching he has helped to shape Residents and Fellows who have gone on to successful careers across the country. He was also at the forefront of innovation here in his own community of St. Petersburg Florida. We offer our deepest sympathies to his family and friends at this most difficult of times, and will strive to continue to help mold the innovative and compassionate physicians of the future.
