May is bringing us our beloved back home to us — at least for a week!💐

The Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga refers to the first group of postures out of six total. Regular practice of each individual posture leads to the potential to practice the next posture and when one series is complete, to the next series.

Ashtanga is traditionally taught in a self-practice setting, where the student can move at their own pace, and a teacher can teach a student one-to-one.

In this class, Susan will guide you through the Primary Series with modifications for more complex postures where needed. It is a powerful practice to connect with the body, the breath and the mind, open to all levels.

This is a Donation based class, cash or Venmo are accepted.

An artist on and off the mat, Cristi brings a vibrancy to our studio home that is uniquely treasured. You can count on her classes to bring you back to a centered self; encouraging strength and softness to coincide with intention. We are so grateful for Cristi’s presence and contributions to our studio, and if you haven’t tried one of her classes for yourself, you must soon!✨ In addition to her 3 weekly classes mentioned, she’s generously stepping in for Molly’s Friday 12pm Flow while on maternity leave. ❓What keeps you teaching?

In all of my endeavors, I aim to cultivate environments that connect people with themselves and each other. Reminders of our interconnectedness are especially important during tumultuous times.

❓What’s your most memorable teaching moment?

My most memorable teaching moment was as a student. I was taking the class of a student I had guided through yoga teacher training just a few months prior. His identity as a teacher was already so strong; he’d taken the knowledge from training and made it completely his own. It was a beautiful full circle moment.

❓When you think of Sukha what words come to mind?

Sanctuary, community, connection, twinkle lights ✨
