Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a special supplemental nutrition program which provides services to pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children up to their 5th birthday based on nutritional risk and income eligibility. The primary services provided are health screening, risk assessment, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding promotion and referrals to health care.

Life happens, and breastfeeding is incredibly adaptable! For World Breastfeeding Week, we are highlighting that there is no “one size fits all” way to feed your baby. Missouri families are writing their stories as they go to make breastfeeding work for their unique lives.
Ways to stay flexible:
• Don’t compare: Every baby and every journey is different.
• Embrace change: It’s normal for things to shift as your baby grows.
• Seek solutions: If a challenge arises, reach out for support to find a new path.
• Trust yourself: You are the expert on your baby.
