For many of us, coping was necessary.

It helped us survive environments, relationships, losses, and experiences that felt too overwhelming to face all at once.

But eventually there comes a point when survival is no longer enough.

Healing asks us to look beneath the roles, masks, and identities we created to stay safe. Not to judge them. Not to shame them. But to honor them for how they protected us—and then gently let them go.

The journey isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about remembering who you were before you learned who you had to be.
