PREDATORS IN THE CRAFT!
Wednesday, June 24th at 9pm EST, Shannon Marie Daoust and I take on a sensitive issue on Hex Offenders: predators in the Craft, including both Paganism and Witchcraft.
I did a deep-dive on all this with Claude AI, which even used my Chrome Browser to search s*x offenders' registries. This is just the tip of the iceberg because there are only so many we can talk about in one episode.
Most of these are convicted. For a few, there were strong whisperings about, but we will maintain the presumption of innocence for those individuals.

- Crime: convicted 09/02/2025, Indecent Assault without consent (18 Pa.C.S. 3126 A1), Monroe County PA; victim a minor.
- Status: FDLE registry — Sexual Offender, "Supervised – FL Dept of Corrections," DOC , DOB 09/12/1974, 40143 Swift Rd, Eustis FL (Lake County).
ROBERT GRIFFITHS — Orchard Park NY → now Missouri — OUT [NY DCJS-VERIFIED]
- Occult tie: reported at the time as the self-styled "Orchard Park warlock" who offered teen girls coven membership in exchange for s*x (label is press, not on the registry record).
- Crime: convicted 06/20/1997, Attempted R**e 2nd Degree x2; victim female age 13; force = coercion; arrested by Orchard Park Town PD. Risk Level 2, Sexually Violent Offender. Sentence 16 mo–4 yrs.
- Status: lives/works 1255 Bluff Rd, Stover MO 65078; on Missouri registry.
ROBIN FLETCHER — Australia — OUT (no supervision)
- Occult tie: central — "The Red Druid"/"Balin," prominent in the Australian pagan scene; claimed his crimes were an expression of his Wiccan religion ("initiation").
- Crime: convicted 1998, s*xual offences vs two 15-yo girls (incl. child prostitution — advertised a girl online); met them as a hypnosis youth counsellor.
- Status: served 10 yrs + 10 yrs supervision; released 2017, supervision LIFTED, no monitoring. Elderly, legally blind, free. No US registry (foreign).
DANIEL SCOTT HOLBROOK ("Cú Meala") — North Carolina — OUT (NOT on any registry)
- Occult tie: central — ADF Druid, founded Raven's Hollow Protogrove, rose to ADF Deputy Regional.
- Crime: no-contest plea Apr 2017 (Gaston County) to felony "disseminating obscenity" — hundreds of child-abuse images; prosecutor said he admitted downloading 300+ pre-teen images for self-gratification.
- Status: plea deal SPARED him from registration → free, on no registry. ADF stripped his leadership after the court transcript surfaced.
KIMBERLY HARRIS — Illinois — OUT — not registry-confirmed
- Occult tie: co-led the Danville "witchcraft club" with Robbie Moore.
- Crime: guilty plea Oct 1996, fondling a 13-yo girl; 7-yr term.
- Status: released long ago. Name too common to isolate on a registry without a DOB; sourcing is a ritual-abuse compilation — verify IL court record before air.

- Occult tie: central — leader of the Kidwelly "s*x cult" ("The Church"); justified abuse via Aleister Crowley's Thelema; initiation rituals ended in child r**e.
- Crime: convicted 2011, 35 of 39 charges incl. 11 counts of r**e, over decades. IPP sentence, 11-yr minimum (elapsed ~2022, so may now be on licence).
- Status: unconfirmed; no public UK registry. Verify before stating he's out.
JAMES ROLAN IRVIN — West Virginia — IN [NSOPW-CHECKED]
- Occult tie: central — self-proclaimed "magical warlock"; told children s*x acts were "magic" to heal sick parents / resurrect a dead father.
- Crime: convicted 2014, 30 counts; victims ~age 3–12.
- Status: 235–950 yrs ("will die in prison"); not publicly listed (incarcerated).
MATTHEW VOLZ (now Marina Volz) — New Jersey — IN to ~2044 [NSOPW-CHECKED]
- Occult tie: self-ID only — identifies as Wiccan, sued NJ DOC for Wiccan accommodations from prison; NOT connected to the crime. Weakest occult tie on this list — frame carefully.
- Names: convicted as Matthew Volz; now uses Marina Volz.
- Crime: guilty plea Nov 2021, 10 counts incl. 1st-deg human trafficking + aggravated s*xual assault of his own 7-yo daughter; produced CSAM.
- Status: 25 yrs, no parole. HOUSED IN A WOMEN'S PRISON — Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women (NJ's only women's prison). Sentenced May 2022 to South Woods (men's); transferred to Edna Mahan ~July 2022; NJ DOC reclassified male→female in 2023. (Conviction/sentence = mainstream NJ sources + prosecutor; women's-prison transfer & reclassification = advocacy outlets, verify before stating as fact.)
- Note: the one "Matthew Volz" registry hit was a 51-yo in Mississippi — NOT him.

- Occult tie: central — self-avowed "warlock" who led a "witchcraft club" and used "black magic" talk to lure and terrorise victims.
- Crime: convicted 1997, aggravated criminal s*xual assault/abuse; children as young as 4.
- Status: 67 yrs; no IL registry match (consistent with incarceration). Softer sourcing — verify IL court record.
DANIEL R. HESS — Ohio — NOT on registry (likely still IN, or moved/deceased) [OHIO eSORN — both candidate records opened & ruled out]
- Occult tie: central — practiced Wiccan/Pagan beliefs; told his teen daughter "The Power of Three" required all three of them to have s*x "to protect against evil."
- Crime: convicted 2014, Washington County, 2 counts s*xual battery; Tier III; 9 yrs.
- Status: Ohio's only two "Daniel Hess" records both opened and confirmed to be OTHER men (a 2023 Mineral Ridge case; and "Marvin Hess," who lists "Daniel Hess" as an alias). Conviction documented: State v. Hess, Ohio 4th Dist., 2014.
SCOTT BRIAN GOZENTON — Western Australia — IN/UNKNOWN (use with caveats)
- Occult tie: SATANISM, not Wicca/paganism — self-professed Satanist in a coven (code name "Death"), reportedly told to recruit a "junior coven" from school/Scouts.
- Crime: pleaded guilty (Perth District Court, reported Mar 1991), 22 charges of indecent assault + related.
- Caveats: he was himself a child-abuse victim groomed into the cult as a teen; the "13 covens" claim was unsubstantiated defence material (satanic-panic era); final sentence unconfirmed. Weakest fit — use sparingly.

- Not a convicted offender — belongs in your Fletcher/Hartridge file, not this list. Documented: he publicly volunteered (Feb 2017) to make contact with Fletcher post-release and wrote that Fletcher was a known community figure. Keep distinct.
GAVIN & YVONNE FROST — US — NEVER CONVICTED (Gavin d. 2016)
- Church & School of Wicca. Their 1972 "The Witch's Bible" advocated ritual s*xual "initiation" of youths (modified in later editions). No charges ever. No public record of their daughter or any named victim accusing them of physical acts. Treat strictly as a BOOK controversy.
