Northwest Care Academy is launching a CNA training program in the Salem/Keizer area and is currently looking to partner with SNFs, Memory Care, and RCFs for clinical placements.

We make it easy and beneficial for your team:

✔ Fully screened students (background checks, CPR, immunizations)
✔ Built-in hiring pipeline — train CNAs who can work for you

Caring for our seniors is not just a job. It’s a calling. ❤️
Every day we step into someone’s most vulnerable season of life. We see the hard days. The confusion. The decline. The fear. The frustration.
This work is beautiful… but it is not easy.
It takes patience when someone asks the same question again and again.
It takes strength to lift, reposition, and support fragile bodies.
It takes compassion to walk alongside families who are grieving in real time.
It takes heart to sit quietly and simply hold a hand.
There are long nights. Hard conversations. Moments that test us.
But there is also laughter. Stories from decades past. Gratitude in a squeeze of the hand. The honor of walking beside someone at the end of their journey.
We are caring for them today.
One day, someone will be caring for us.
We are them.
And we will be them.
That’s why dignity matters.
That’s why patience matters.
That’s why love matters.
This work is hard.
But it is sacred. And we are proud to do it. 💛

We Will Not Walk Away

When someone has received a terminal diagnosis,
and they’ve been told they have less time
what this translates most to them, is that
they have been moved to the front of the line

A line no one wants to stand in
a line that can often bring fear
a line that changes everything for them
and lets them know that death is near

So many things are taken from them
most importantly, their autonomy and choice
leaving them dependent on everyone and everything
no longer having a voice

So, if given an opportunity to say goodbye to pain,
to end their suffering, and to feel free again
they need to know we support them
that we will not walk away
they need to know that whatever they choose
we are here to stay.
