One ribbon. Countless lives impacted.

Today, we celebrated the opening of Bridgeway Community Health’s new Medical Center—a transformational milestone for both our organization and the communities we serve. More than a decade in the making, this long-awaited project brings medically managed withdrawal (detox), primary care, outpatient treatment, and sobering services together on one campus, creating a more connected and supportive path to recovery.

A project of this magnitude does not happen alone.

Thank you to .construction and for helping bring this vision to life.

Thank you to the for helping us commemorate this special milestone.

Thank you to Governor Tina Kotek’s office, as well as many other local and state officials, for joining us and for helping shine a light on the ongoing need for behavioral health and substance use disorder services across Oregon.

And thank you to our Board of Directors, leadership team, and staff whose dedication, perseverance, and belief in this vision helped turn a long-awaited dream into reality.

Today, we celebrate more than a new building. We celebrate expanded access to care, stronger pathways to recovery, and new hope for the individuals and families we serve every day.

At Bridgeway, supporting our community means continuing to invest in the skills, knowledge, and preparedness of our staff.

Recently, Bridgeway team members participated in a Psychological First Aid training, where they learned practical, trauma-informed approaches for supporting individuals and communities during and after times of crisis. Staff also participated in mock scenarios to put their training into practice and strengthen real-world response skills.

Psychological First Aid focuses on offering calm, compassionate, and practical support — helping people feel safe, heard, connected, and supported during difficult moments. Because while we can’t “fix” someone’s emotions instantly, we can show up for one another in ways that foster resilience, stability, and hope.

We are proud of our staff for their continued commitment to learning, growth, and compassionate care for the communities we serve. 💙

Mental health is shaped by more than what happens in moments of crisis — it’s shaped by gratitude, connection, community, and the way we speak to ourselves and others every single day.

At today’s Bridgeway all-staff meeting, our team spent time reflecting on the powerful role community and support systems play in emotional wellbeing, both in and outside of the workplace. We also explored the importance of creating environments where people feel encouraged, valued, connected, and supported — because healing and growth happen best in community.

We were also grateful for the opportunity to learn more about programs across our organization and the many ways our teams continue working together to support individuals and families throughout our community.

Conversations like these matter. Mental health awareness is not just about recognizing challenges — it’s also about building cultures of compassion, connection, and support.

Behind every compassionate interaction is a team that intentionally pours into one another. 💙

Our Administrative Support team meets monthly to focus on personal and professional development, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful space for support, encouragement, and growth outside of the day-to-day pace of the front desk.

This month’s discussion centered around Emotional Intelligence and the role empathy, self-awareness, and communication play in both teamwork and patient care.

And, with four birthdays to celebrate this month, ice cream made the perfect addition 🍦🎉

Bridgeway staff recently attended a fundraiser supporting our valued community partner,

Thanks to the generosity of one team member who sponsored a table, staff were able to come together in support of an organization making a meaningful impact in our community.

Partnerships like these help create pathways toward safe housing, recovery support, and long-term stability for those transitioning into community living. We’re grateful for the collaboration and shared commitment to helping people move forward with hope and support. 🤝
