When should you actually start getting mammograms?

Breast cancer screening guidelines aren’t one-size-fits-all:
• Age 25+: Start discussing a personalized breast health risk assessment with your primary care provider.
• Age 40: Most clinical guidelines recommend women at average risk begin annual screening mammograms.
• Higher Risk? If you have a family history, genetic mutations (like BRCA1/BRCA2), or other risk factors, your doctor may recommend beginning earlier.

Through our partnership with the National Institute for Medical Assistant Advancement (NIMAA), you don't just study healthcare, you step directly into it. This accelerated 8-month program (March – November 2027) combines flexible online coursework with hands-on clinical training right here at Salem Clinic alongside our physicians and clinical teams.

By graduation, you’ll have the clinical skills and hands-on experience needed to launch an in-demand healthcare career.

Key Spring 2027 Cohort Deadlines:
