Join the Salem Health Foundations' Tee Up for Cancer Care Challenge and help support local cancer patients while having fun on the course.

Whether you're an experienced golfer or trying it for the first time, all ages and skill levels are welcome. No clubs? No problem, a limited number of clubs will be available to use.

This special in-person event honors families who have experienced perinatal, infant or child loss.

You are not alone on this journey. Connect with a caring community, access support resources, create heartfelt crafts, and share a meaningful remembrance moment. Families will also have the chance to meet Caesar the llama and enjoy other family-friendly activities.

UPDATE: Registration that guaranteed a butterfly to release closed on May 25, but you can still attend! Register by June 15.

Running a half-marathon is a challenge for anyone, particularly with little-to-no running experience. For Jose “Jesse” Villegas, it was not only a challenge, but the beginning of a path toward continuous self-improvement and a newfound community.

Villegas is a surgical supply specialist in Salem Hospital's Surgical Services Administration. When he is not aiding in the operating room’s supply chain, he is constantly seeking challenges and self-improvement through running long-distance races.

Did you know West Valley Hospital’s transitional care program (also known as the swing bed unit) offers recovery care after surgery and serious illness? Helping patients build back strength and skills to return to daily life.

In our latest story, Tina Jamieson shares her experience and journey. From having a hard time processing the idea of staying hospitalized for weeks, to now recommending the program to anyone who might need it.

“I wasn’t sure if I could do it, but the staff made me feel so safe with their knowledge,” she said. “They were fabulous. I couldn’t even sit up when I got there, and after four weeks, I could do everything."
