Pregnancy is a time filled with change, questions, and new experiences. For many families, prenatal care follows a familiar pattern: short, one-on-one visits focused on checking physical health and tracking progress.

While that model plays an important role in monitoring the health of both parent and baby, it can sometimes feel limited, especially when there are many questions to ask and not much time to ask them.

At WFMC Health, Centering Pregnancy® offers a different approach. By combining medical care with education and community, it creates space for a more connected and supportive prenatal experience.

If your child says their stomach hurts, the next few minutes can feel like a guessing game. Is it constipation? A stomach bug? Something they ate? Nerves? The beginnings of a virus?

Part of what makes stomach complaints tricky is that many different problems can look similar at first. Younger children especially may not have the words to describe whether they feel nauseous, crampy, full, gassy, or constipated. They might simply tell you their tummy hurts and leave you to sort out the rest.

The most helpful approach is usually to look at the full picture instead of zeroing in on one symptom.
