We are SO excited to offer a space for families choosing an alternative approach to schooling!

At Kindred, all ways are good ways in our book. And we believe having educational choices shouldn't depend on whether you can stay home during the day or afford traditional private school.

✨ You don't have to be a stay-at-home parent to choose an alternative approach to school.

✨ You don't have to be wealthy to explore a different educational path for your child.

Through our partnership with Oregon Charter Academy, families can have the benefits of an established public charter school while their child spends their day learning, growing, and connecting at Kindred.

That partnership also keeps students connected to important public-school educational supports—including evaluations and, for eligible students, IEPs and 504 plans.

Meanwhile, Kindred provides the part that can make alternative schooling difficult for working families:

The Kindred portion of this program does have tuition, but it can be significantly more affordable than many traditional private-school options. Eligible families may also be able to use childcare subsidies or assistance programs to help cover a portion of Kindred's cost.

It's that time of year to be planning for summer and fall!

Summer:

We have enrichment programs in all ages that celebrate the season, dive deeper into concepts we touched on in the school year, and more!

Fall:

Our preschoolers are off to kindergarten this year! We've had such a grand time over this year and even longer for some ❤️

We have openings for fall for new friends! Lots of flexibility and an amazing program!

We also have before/after school supports!

What a fun learning space for our toddlers!

In our toddler room we start building foundations for math, literacy, science, and emotional - social intelligence. The goal is development and regulation, preparing them for our preschool class later to continue learning and becoming a good learner for kindergarten and beyond. The classroom is nothing boring or demanding tho, we take a lot into consideration and definitely make it fun!

We believe play is highly valuable and the most appropriate way to teach our tots. We use their curiosities to set up the space for them to play and naturally learn and work on various skills.

They may be building blocks in our classroom but really we are counting, identifying colors, working our hand muscles, and figuring out how gravity works too!
