Join us in celebrating a very special achievement! 🎉

Congratulations to Kaitlyn Watkins on being accepted into the LPN nursing program at Colby Community College! We are incredibly proud of all the hard work and dedication that led to this moment.

Kaitlyn began her journey with Accessible at just 17 years old, and it has been amazing to watch her grow into the compassionate, driven caregiver she is today. Her commitment to caring for others truly shines, and we know she will make an incredible nurse.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you, Kaitlyn — this is only the beginning! 💙

Grief Support Group meets tonight at Eaglecrest Retirement Community

You don't have to walk through grief alone. 💙

At Gentiva, we understand that processing loss takes time, and having the right support makes all the difference. Our Grief Support Group creates a safe space where you can connect with others who truly understand your journey.

Whether you're taking your first steps in healing or looking for ongoing support, you'll find compassionate people ready to listen and share. Together, we can find strength in community and hope in connection.

Our next gathering is February 25th, and we welcome anyone from Salina and surrounding communities who feels called to join us.

What has helped you most during difficult times - connecting with others or finding quiet moments of reflection?

Accessible Home Care wants to share this opportunity with our community. 💙
With the heaviness of the losses felt throughout our community during this time, please don’t hesitate to reach out to those who can support you. You are not meant to carry it alone.
We want to encourage anyone who needs extra support to seek it—whether that’s through family, friends, or professional resources. Grief is not linear, and there is no “right” way to grieve. Give yourself grace, and know that support is available.

We understand that grief touches everyone differently and at different times in life. 💙

At Gentiva, we're proud to announce our new Grief Support Group, led by Social Worker Macy Manwaring and Chaplain Shana Leck. This safe space is open to anyone in our community who is navigating loss or grief in any form. This group is open to not only those who have been through services with Gentiva Hospice but offered to the community as a whole. Whether you've recently experienced a loss or have been on this journey for years, you're welcome here. Sometimes we need to listen, sometimes we need to share, and sometimes we just need to know we're not alone.

Grief comes in many forms and affects us all differently. Our doors are open to provide the support and understanding you deserve during difficult times.

Our Support Group will be held at Eaglecrest Retirement Community from 6-7pm. Please see flyer for the dates.
Please call 785-914-5057 for more information or questions.

🏛️ Estate Planning: The Key to Protecting Your Legacy.
Contact us to Pre-Arrange Funeral Services and lick in today’s pricing.

Estate planning ensures your assets, values, and wishes are protected and passed on exactly as you intend—while minimizing stress, taxes, and conflict for your loved ones.
🔑 Why Estate Planning Matters
Control who gets what, when, and how
Protect family from legal disputes and delays
Reduce taxes & costs that can erode your estate
Plan for incapacity if you’re unable to decide later
Preserve your legacy across generations
🧾 Core Elements of a Solid Estate Plan
Will – Directs asset distribution and names guardians
Trusts – Avoid probate, add privacy, and protect beneficiaries
Power of Attorney – Financial decisions if you’re incapacitated
Healthcare Directive – Medical wishes and decision-maker
Beneficiary Designations – For pensions, insurance, investments
Asset Inventory – Clear record of what you own and owe
⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid
Procrastinating (“I’ll do it later”)
Failing to update after marriage, divorce, or new children
Ignoring beneficiary forms (they override wills)
Not planning for taxes and probate costs
Leaving unclear instructions that cause disputes
✅ Best Practices
Start early—estate planning isn’t only for the wealthy
Review and update every 2–3 years or after major life events
Communicate your wishes with trusted family members
Work with qualified legal and financial professionals
Bottom line: Estate planning isn’t about death—it’s about peace of mind, family protection, and ensuring your life’s work benefits those you care about most.
