💜💛 Their Voices. Their Choices. Their Future.

During our October P.H.I.T. Corps meeting, youth members came together to reflect on why they joined the council and why prevention and recovery are important to them.

Members shared their personal motivations and created short video clips to inspire others, raise awareness, and encourage positive choices.

Through their voices and leadership, these youth are working to become positive role models and make a meaningful impact on their peers and community.

Building Connections. Strengthening Communities. 💙

Valley Health Associates was proud to be represented at the Parole and Community Team (PACT) Orientation Meeting in Salinas, bringing together community organizations and partners serving Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties.

Our Peer Support Supervisor, Darrell Smith, was on hand to share information about VHA's services and connect with others working to support individuals navigating reentry, recovery, and positive life changes.

At VHA, we believe that meaningful connections and strong community partnerships help create pathways to hope, healing, and lasting recovery.

James and Amber participated in the two-day Becoming Me Facilitator Training, a gender-specific curriculum designed to support youth impacted by child trafficking.
Trainers Leah Albright-Byrd and Michelle Guymon did an incredible job providing participants with the knowledge and tools needed to facilitate the curriculum through a trauma-informed and youth-centered approach, while remaining sensitive to the experiences and needs of the youth being served.
We are grateful for opportunities like this that allow our VHA team to continue expanding our knowledge, strengthening our skills, and increasing our ability to provide safe, compassionate, and informed support to youth in our community. 💙
