Our legacy is over a century in the making!

In 1879, long before we became EHM Senior Solutions, the Zoar Society was established to meet the needs of orphaned children and the elderly. During the 1900s, the network of care expanded in Detroit and extended in Saline, with a range of services that answer the call of community needs.

In 1879, long before we became EHM Senior Solutions, Pastor Wilhelm Hansen, Mr. George Welz, Mr. Ludwig Harks, and his wife, Mrs. Henriette Harks, established the Zoar Society to meet the needs of orphaned children and the elderly. The organization was first known as Zoar Homes.
