Please join us in welcoming Nathan Healy, P.A.-C. to the University of Utah Health Hand Team!

Nathan grew up in a military family and has lived in Utah, Panama, Virginia, Texas, California, and many places in between. He earned his bachelor's degree in Community Health from California State University, Fresno, and went on to receive his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University Nevada.

Nathan brings extensive experience in emergency medicine and trauma surgery, providing a strong foundation of clinical expertise and patient-centered care. We are excited to have him join our team and look forward to the knowledge, skill, and dedication he brings to our patients and colleagues.

Outside of work, Nathan enjoys an active lifestyle and can often be found cycling, playing soccer, hiking, camping, snowboarding, or spending time at the beach and Disneyland. Most importantly, he enjoys making memories with his wife and their three children.

We are excited to introduce Katie Brooks, a new Certified Physician Assistant with the Foot and Ankle team. Katie’s Clinical interests include traumatic injuries to the foot and ankle, non-operative fractures, arthritis conditions, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, sports injuries to the foot and ankle, foot and ankle reconstruction, and providing thorough patient education regarding foot and ankle conditions.

Katie attended the University of Utah, completing her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training. She then went on to attend graduate school at the University of Alabama where she worked in the athletic department as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer while earning her Master of Arts degree in Health Studies. Upon graduation, Katie worked as an Athletic trainer at Duke University and then at the University of Utah Orthopaedic center in both the clinic and operating room. Katie attended Physician Assistant school and graduated in 2022 form the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. For 3 years following PA school, Katie worked in Plastic Surgery at Intermountain Health with a focus in reconstruction and traumatic injuries.

A lifelong cowgirl and rodeo competitor, Alyssa pushed through years of hip pain before finally getting answers, and care, at University of Utah Health.
