πŸ”₯ Heating Amparo Sockets in a mobile environment

Prosthetic fitting does not always happen inside a traditional clinic.

Our new video shows how an Amparo Socket can be heated using a mobile oven, supporting socket preparation and fitting in remote or mobile care environments.

This is another step in our commitment to making the Amparo System as compatible as possible with every type of O&P clinical workflow, from in-clinic tools to mobile setups, digital workflows, Majicast, Icecast, casting liners, and more.

With mobile heating, clinical teams can bring direct-fit socket care closer to where it is needed, helping create a practical, adaptable, and responsive fitting process outside the clinic.

Because mobility care should be able to move.

🦿 Amparo Sockets, compatible with casting liner workflows

Another step in our commitment to making Amparo Sockets compatible with real O&P clinic workflows.

With casting liners, clinicians can support better residual limb volume control during shape capture, helping create a more consistent foundation for socket fitting.

Once the shape is captured, Amparo Sockets can be fitted directly to the user’s residual limb, supporting a fast and practical pathway to a comfortable, functional, and high-quality prosthetic socket.

This workflow helps clinicians:
βœ” Control residual limb volume during capture
βœ” Support a more consistent socket shape
βœ” Fit the socket directly to the user
βœ” Create a functional and comfortable result quickly
βœ” Use tools and methods already familiar in O&P practice

At Amparo, compatibility matters.
Our goal is to make our sockets work with the workflows clinicians already trust.

Your Workflow. Our Sockets.

🦿 Top tips for better residual limb shape capture

A good prosthetic socket starts with a good shape capture. Before moving into socket fabrication, clinicians need to understand how the residual limb behaves, not only at rest, but also under load.

Here are a few key tips:
βœ” Check residual limb volume and tissue condition
βœ” Position the limb consistently during capture
βœ” Consider how soft tissue moves and compresses
βœ” Capture the limb in a clinically relevant position
βœ” Validate the shape against comfort, stability, and suspension needs

But here is the big question: Are you capturing the limb the way it will actually be used?

This is where hydrostatic weight-bearing shape capture can make a difference. With Majicast, clinicians can capture the residual limb under load, using hydrostatic pressure to support soft tissue control and volume matching. This helps create a more functional and repeatable starting point for socket fitting.

Better shape capture. Better socket foundation. Better fitting workflow.

πŸ’» Amparo Sockets in a digital workflow

Another layer of compatibility for the Amparo System.

After quickly capturing the shape of the residual limb, Amparo Sockets can be scanned, digitized, and brought into CAD/CAM workflows.

The video shows how simple it can be to turn an Amparo Socket into a digital 3D model, giving clinicians the flexibility to connect direct-fit shape capture with digital design, documentation, and fabrication processes.

This means clinics can:
βœ” Capture the residual limb shape quickly
βœ” Scan and digitize the socket geometry
βœ” Bring the model into CAD/CAM workflows
βœ” Combine hands-on fitting with digital prosthetic workflows
βœ” Keep using the tools and systems that work for their clinic

From in-clinic tools to digital workflows, Amparo is designed to support real clinical flexibility.

🦿 Supporting primary patients from the start

For rehab centres, the first prosthetic fitting is not just a device milestone.
It is part of the rehabilitation pathway.

The Amparo System helps clinical teams support primary patients with a faster, more adaptable socket process that can keep pace with recovery.

As residual limbs change during early rehabilitation, clinicians can quickly respond by:
βœ” Remoulding the socket when fit needs evolve
βœ” Making local pressure adjustments when needed
βœ” Changing suspension options as the patient progresses
βœ” Supporting a more streamlined path from fitting to therapy
βœ” Helping patients move forward with care sooner

This flexibility can make a real difference for rehab teams managing early mobility, volume change, and ongoing follow-up. With Amparo, clinicians can adapt the socket pathway without restarting the full process every time needs change.

Practical for teams. Adaptable for primary patients. Designed to support rehabilitation progress.

πŸ› οΈ From heating to finishing: Amparo Sockets in your clinic workflow

After showing how Amparo Sockets can be heated using in-clinic tools, this follow-up video focuses on the next step: the finishing process.

Because a prosthetic socket should not only fit well.

It should be comfortable, functional, and beautifully finished. With standard in-clinic tools, clinicians can trim, smooth, refine, and validate the socket after fitting, helping create a final result that supports both clinical performance and user confidence.

This is another step in making Amparo Sockets fully compatible with in-clinic tools and workflows, from preparation to fitting to final finishing.

Practical tools, flexible workflows, better socket care.
Your Workflow. Our Sockets.

πŸ’¬ We would love to hear from you: what does your prosthetic fitting and finishing workflow look like?
