As the Primary Care Association in Utah, The Association for Utah Community Health (AUCH) cultivates access to primary health care for all residents throughout our diverse state. We support and represent our members through advocacy, training and technical assistance, and patient education. AUCH is designated by the Federal Bureau of Primary Health Care as the state primary care association and re

ceives federal program support to develop and enhance services for members. The Association for Utah Community Health, formed in 1985, is the voice of Utah’s community health centers and their patients. Our organization represents over 40 not-for-profit community clinics who provide quality health care services including medical, dental, and behavioral health, particularly for low-to-moderate income, uninsured or underinsured Utahns who might otherwise not have access to health care. Our members include federal health center grantees and other providers who strive to meet the needs of all Utah citizens in rural and urban areas. AUCH and our statewide network of community health centers reduce barriers to health care by enhancing primary care service delivery through prevention, health promotion, and community participation.

Congratulations to Brenda Brian, of Wayne Community Health Center recipient of the 2026 Stephen D. Ratcliffe Visionary award!

"For 33 years, Brenda has been a cornerstone of our organization, demonstrating not only longevity but a deep and sustained commitment to our mission and the patients we serve.

Rather than resist change, she embraces it with optimism and purpose, continually striving to make the best of evolving circumstances. More importantly, she uplifts those around her—encouraging her colleagues to adapt, grow, and remain focused on our shared goals.

Her leadership is both practical and visionary. She not only sees where we are going as an organization, but actively contributes to shaping that future in meaningful ways. Her ability to balance experience with forward-thinking insight has helped guide our continued expansion and success.

She is widely respected by her peers as a trusted leader, a source of encouragement, and a model of resilience. Her impact reaches far beyond her role—she has helped shape the culture of our health center into one that values perseverance, positivity, and progress."

Congratulations to Vy Bui, of Fourth Street Clinic, recipient of the 2026 Stephen D. Ratcliffe Visionary award!

"Vy Bui, Pharmacy Director at Fourth Street Clinic, exemplifies visionary leadership through his ability to anticipate challenges, implement innovative solutions and foster a culture of collaboration in a complex and ever-evolving health care environment.

During his time at Fourth Street Clinic, Vy has led significant operational advancements that have not only strengthened efficiency, but the sustainability of our pharmacy program. He successfully guided the transition to a new point-of-sale system, streamlining workflows and improving overall departmental flow. At the same time, he led the transition to a new prescription supplier, an initiative that reduced costs while improving inventory management, ensuring that critical medications remain accessible to the patients who rely on us for care.

Vy’s leadership is particularly evident in his proactive approach to solving problems. Rather than reacting to challenges as they arise, he consistently anticipates future needs and implements solutions before issues can impact patient care or operations. This forward-thinking mindset has been instrumental in maintaining stability for patients, while also scaling our services in a high-demand environment.

Vy leads with a steady, solutions-oriented mindset and a positive perspective, even in the face of challenges. His ability to balance innovation, efficiency and team collaboration makes him not only an exceptional leader within Fourth Street Clinic, but also a standout professional within the community health center field. Through his vision, adaptability and unwavering focus on improving care delivery, Vy Bui truly embodies the spirit of this award and is a vital force in advancing the mission of Fourth Street Clinic."

Congratulations to Terrill Musser, of Creek Valley Health Clinic, recipient of the 2026 Ivan D. McCourt Board Leadership award! Below is a touching excerpt from his nomination statement.

"Thank you to AUCH for this recognition.

The 2026 Excellence in Board Leadership Award could not be going to a more deserving person than Terrill Musser.

Terrill is one of the founding board members of Creek Valley Health Clinic, serving since early 2019 when we were established. Seven years later he still serves on our board, and pushes us to serve our community in the best ways possible. In all our years together, Terrill has supported me as CEO while also showing up for patients in ways big and small.

Terrill also serves on the Hildale City Council, and anyone who has watched Colorado City over the last decade knows the transformation that has happened during that time. Terrill has been right in the middle of it - carrying the voices of Hildale and Colorado City residents and leading local government through transparency, honesty, and passion.

What makes Terrill even more remarkable is what he carries personally. Terrill lives with a rare health condition which requires him to often spend weeks at a time in hospital settings. Even so, he is at our board meetings whenever he can possibly make it. Fully present. Asking the questions that need to be asked. Always pushing us to think about the patients we serve and the staff who serve them.

Terrill, thank you. For seven years of showing up. For your service to this community long before Creek Valley Health Clinic even existed, and for everything you continue to give. This award is yours, and it is so well earned!"
