The HOME Program is heartbroken to announce the passing of a true legend. Case Manager Paula Hansen passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends, on March 17, 2026.

Paula was a dedicated member of the University of Utah community for 38 years, the last 16 years with the HOME Program. She was deeply compassionate and had a remarkable gift for caring for others—something that shone through in her work every single day.

Her dedication to the HOME Program and the people she served was unwavering. Paula would move mountains to help anyone in need. She was our fiercest advocate and the kind of cheerleader everyone hopes to have in their corner.

To many of us, Paula was more than a colleague—she was family. Her passing leaves a profound void in our hearts.

Paula, rest easy knowing that your HOME Program family will continue to care for and support your people every day. You will be deeply missed.
