🌾 transitioning to the yin season 🌿
In a few weeks we will begin the subtle shift from summer into fall and the descending of yang into the season of yin.
Late summer is traditionally seen as the season of harvest, a time when the hard work of spring and summer comes to fruition. In TCM, this concept extends beyond the physical act of harvesting crops to encompass the harvesting of energy, health, and balance within ourselves.
Just as farmers gather crops, we are called to harvest the energy we’ve cultivated throughout the year. This is the time to nourish our bodies, reflect on our growth, and prepare for the coming transition into autumn. Preparing not only what we would like to harvest from the year thus far, but also what we would like to release physically and energetically in the fall.
By aligning ourselves with the Earth element, we can create a strong foundation that will carry us through the rest of the year.
