Come Follow Me — Esther 6:1: "On that night could not the king sleep." Years before, a man named Mordecai sat at the city gate and overheard two men planning harm against the king. He told the truth, even though the king was not his friend. A scribe wrote it down, closed the book, and set it on a shelf. And then nothing happened. No thank you. No reward. Years passed. And perhaps you know that silence — the kindness no one noticed, the honest thing that cost you and changed nothing you could see. Then, on exactly the right night, a king could not sleep. He called for that old book. And the page they read was his.
Heaven keeps a longer memory than the world does. The world forgets by morning. God does not forget at all.
Save this for the night the quiet years feel wasted, and send it to someone who has been faithful with no visible return.
