In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Guzman is completing a Da Vinci Robotic Surgery Certificate, further expanding her expertise in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical techniques.
Dr. Guzman earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2020. She previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating cm laude.

Talking about health with your family can feel uncomfortable but it’s one of the most important conversations you can have, especially when it comes to prostate health. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Here are a few tips to make the conversation easier:
✅ Pick the right moment: Find a relaxed, private setting where everyone feels comfortable to talk openly.
✅ Start with the big picture: Discuss overall wellness and the importance of family medical history not just for prostate cancer, but for all health concerns.
✅ Be vulnerable: Share your own health journey or experiences with screenings first. It often makes it much easier for others to open up.
✅ Ask the important questions: Encourage family members to share their own health histories, including related diagnoses like breast, ovarian, or pancreatic cancer.

Creating open communication about health starts at home. Learn more about having open conversations around prostate cancer here: https://ow.ly/Lref50ZMmYb
