I am a Wounded Warrior Marine Spouse that works to help other military spouses cope with the stressors connected to the military lifestyle, adjusting to civilian lif
e after discharge, and caregiver stressors. I provide online sessions throughout the state of Texas, North Carolina, and Virginia, and treat adolescents, adults, individuals, families, and couples. As someone who has experienced three combat tours with my husband, I have extensive resources available and have run spouse support groups for coping with PTSD/TBI. For more information regarding my experiences, my husband wrote a book, Terror to Triumph, detailing his combat experiences, PTSD journey, and how we coped as a couple throughout a ten-year period. Being a military caregiver gave me the strength to become a therapist and help other spouses who may be dealing with mental illness on their own and struggling to find themself.
