Sometimes we think the most productive choice is to keep working.
Skip lunch.
Answer one more email.
Finish one more task.
Push through for just a little longer.
But our bodies don’t always agree.
I’ve talked with so many people who don’t realize how much tension they’re carrying until they step away—even for a few minutes.
A short walk outside.
A stretch.
Fresh air.
A chance to look farther than the next item on the to-do list.
Those moments may seem small, but they can interrupt the feeling of being “stuck in work mode” and give your mind and body a chance to reset before returning to the rest of the day.
You don’t have to earn five minutes of fresh air.
Sometimes those five minutes help you come back with more clarity than another hour of pushing through.
