Crewing and witnessing this group of souls collectively conquer 346 miles across the desert was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. Everyone on the team, from runners to crew, worked together and creatively solved the many challenges and obstacles that arose along the journey. Several of us began this adventure as strangers and we all left as a family.
Working in a moving RV was a unique challenge that I do not think many other massage therapists have been lucky enough to experience. Sometimes too much pressure was applied when the RV would brake (sorry yall) and other times I learned to hold a very wide legged stance for stability as the RV violently shook on unpaved roads. This was improvising and rolling with the punches at its finest!
For 48 hours we all shared close quarters and learned to adapt and sacrifice when needed. Through it all the runners stayed healthy, pushed through, and reached new depths within themselves. The crew was doing equally amazing things, from navigating to meal prep to capturing amazing footage (shoutout ). I cannot speak highly enough of this entire team, there was not a single weak link.
I am so grateful to have been included in this journey and I have endless appreciation for the entire group and our amazing sponsors. Thank you .mm for this opportunity. Thank you sponsors . Your fuel, wipes, and gear were instrumental to the team’s success.
Long live TSP.
