🚨 Health Update: Cyclospora Cases Reported Across Multiple States — What Texans Should Know

You may have seen recent reports about Cyclospora infections. Cyclospora is a microscopic parasite that affects the intestines and can cause uncomfortable gastrointestinal symptoms.

Common symptoms may include:
🤢 Diarrhea
🤕 Stomach cramps or abdominal pain
💨 Bloating and gas
🤒 Nausea or vomiting
😴 Fatigue
🌡️ Loss of appetite or weight loss in some cases

Cyclospora is often linked to consuming contaminated food or water. You can help reduce your risk by:

✅ Washing fresh produce thoroughly before eating
✅ Drinking safe, treated water
✅ Practicing good hand hygiene
✅ Avoiding food and water sources that may be contaminated

🚧 Heads Up, San Antonio! Weekend Road Closures Near The Rim 🚧

If you're heading our way this weekend, be sure to allow extra travel time! As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will have nightly road closures at the Loop 1604 & I-10 interchange.

🗓️ When: Friday, July 17 – Monday, July 20
🕘 Time: 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM (nightly)

Closures include:
🚧 Eastbound & westbound Loop 1604 frontage roads at I-10
🚧 Eastbound & westbound I-10 mainlanes at Loop 1604

✅ Good news: All flyover ramps will remain open.

Please follow posted detour signs if you're traveling through the area. If you're visiting Full Spectrum ER & Urgent Care at The Rim, plan a little extra time to reach us safely.
