✨ New Moon Gathering: Mapping Your Inner Season ✨

As late summer shifts toward autumn, nature begins its subtle, beautiful pull toward turning inward. Just like the changing seasons and the moon’s shifting phases, we naturally cycle through different chapters in our own lives.

To anchor ourselves during this seasonal transition, we are using ancient yoga philosophy as our framework for intention setting. Yoga outlines the Purusharthas—the four fundamental pillars of a fulfilled life:

Dharma (Our duty, alignment, and purpose)

Artha (Our security, grounding, and prosperity)

K**a (Our capacity for joy, connection, and pleasure)

Moksha (Our inner peace, surrender, and liberation)

We cycle in and out of periods where one particular aim feels most salient. Which area of your life is asking for your care right now? Instead of forcing an intention, this gathering offers a quiet space to feel deeply into your intuition, allowing a focus to emerge that genuinely reflects where you are today.

Our evening together:

Movement: Gentle, breath-focused movement (Kundalini Kriyas) with Lesley Ramsey to clear mental chatter.

Meditation: A guided inner journey through the Purusharthas to tap into your intuition.

Rest: A deeply restorative sound bath with Audrey Stephens to support your nervous system.

Reflection: Space for journaling and a warm, grounding cup of Happyness Tea.

🗓️ When: Wednesday, September 9 | 7:30 PM - 8:45 PM
📍 Where: MBS, Southtown
✨ With: Lesley Ramsey & Audrey Stephens

Please bring your favorite journal, a pen, and any cozy props (like a favorite sweater or eye pillow) to help you drop into autumn's reflective energy. Link in bio to save your spot. 🌙🍂

Like a warm, heavy blanket for your nervous system... 🕊️✨

If your Sundays have been feeling a little too fast lately, consider this your official invitation to slow alllll the way down. Join Lesley and Audrey for our monthly Yin + Yoga Nidra + Sound Bath—a deliciously restorative evening designed to help you melt, ground, and completely reset.

Think of it as the ultimate Sunday luxury. We’re combining three of the most soothing practices out there to create a space where you don't have to do anything at all.

On the menu:
Deep Yin: Long, juicy, supported holds to unravel physical tension.

Yoga Nidra: A guided, honey-thick meditation that takes your mind to that sweet space right on the edge of sleep.

A Cosmic Sound Bath: Washing it all away with ambient, healing frequencies that leave you feeling entirely re-centered.

It is, quite frankly, the best way to head into your week with a clear head and a soft heart. No hustle, no effort—just pure, scrumptious rest.

In a world that constantly asks you to hurry, slowing down isn’t a luxury—it’s essential nervous system care. 🧘✨

When we live in high gear, our bodies stay locked in fight-or-flight, elevating cortisol, tightening muscles, and wearing down our mental clarity. Gentle, intentional movement sends a direct message to your brain: you are safe.

How slowing down heals the mind and body:

Activates the Parasympathetic System: Slow movement and deep breathwork stimulate the vagus nerve, dropping your heart rate and soothing anxiety.

Lowers Cortisol & Tension: Gentle stretching releases chronic stress held in the body without overtaxing your nervous system.

Restores Mental Bandwidth: Clearing physiological noise creates room to breathe, process emotions, and feel grounded.

Prevents Burnout: Slowing down refills your cup so you aren't constantly operating on empty.

Give yourself permission to pause with MBS Gentle Yoga. Designed for all levels, these classes combine accessible movement, intentional alignment, and restorative breathing to help you unwind.

Movement really is medicine 🧘✨

In her book Move: The New Science of Body Movement and How it Can Set Your Mind Free, science journalist Caroline Williams details how movement creates a direct hotline between body and brain. Research confirms that physical activity of any kind doesn't just build muscular strength—it regulates stress response, reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression, preserves cognitive function, and slows biological aging to enhance overall longevity. Every single minute of intentional movement counts toward keeping your mind sharp and your body resilient.

At MBS Mind Body Soul, our Flow yoga classes come in many varieties so you can honor what your body needs on any given day. With a great full schedule running across our 2 locations (Alamo Heights and Southtown), getting your daily dose of movement is easier than ever:

Power Yoga & Power & Play: Build strength, core endurance, and balance.

Tomorrow, the sun temporarily darkens—a rare cosmic invitation to put down the parts of yourself that are performing to survive, and sit with whatever is waiting underneath.

In the Vedic tradition, an eclipse is not a time to rush into external action or outward performance. It is a portal for deep subconscious cleaning—a sacred pause to unhook from the conditioning that dictates how you "should" show up.

We don't just hold tension in our thoughts; our survival responses—control, urgency, compliance—are wired directly into our tissues.

Tomorrow night, we use the potent technology of Kundalini Yoga and Sodarshan Chakra Kriya to burn through these old mental grooves and reset the nervous system. Once the subconscious chatter settles, a guided meditation will help you map your true inner compass across the Four Aims of Life:

Dharma: Your authentic duty and path

Artha: Sacred security and sustenance

K**a: Unarmored joy and deep connection

Moksha: Spiritual freedom and release

Then let your ego and patterns loosen their hold with a deeply relaxing sound bath with Audrey Stephens.

Step away from the daily performance and lay down what you no longer need to carry. Sign up now! Spots are limited. Link in Bio!

See you on or off the mat,

Lesley & Audrey

New Moon Gathering: Mapping Your Inner Season ✨

Just like the moon shifts through its phases, we cycle through different seasons in our own lives. There are times for action, times for rest, times for receiving, and times for letting go.

To help us navigate these cycles, we are turning to ancient yoga philosophy as our framework for this New Moon's intention setting. Yoga outlines the Purusharthas—the four distinct pillars of a deeply fulfilled human life:

Dharma (Our duty, purpose, and alignment with truth)
Artha (Our resourcefulness, security, and material prosperity)
K**a (Our capacity for joy, desire, and sensory pleasure)
Moksha (Our ultimate freedom, liberation, and spiritual peace)

We naturally cycle in and out of periods where one particular aim feels more salient than the others. Which phase are you in right now? Where is your energy calling to be directed? Rather than forcing an intention from the mind, we will use this evening to feel deeply into our intuition to discover exactly where we are right now, allowing an intention to arise that truly fits your current season.

Our flow for the evening:
Movement: A few minutes of breath-focused movement (Kundalini Kriyas) with Lesley Ramsey to clear the busy mind.
Meditation: A guided journey through the Purusharthas to listen to your inner guidance.
Rest: A deeply restorative sound bath with Audrey Stephens to integrate your insights.
Reflection: Time for journaling and a warm cup of Happyness Tea.

🗓️ When: Wednesday, August 12 | 7:30 PM - 8:45 PM
📍 Where: MBS, Southtown
✨ With: Lesley Ramsey & Audrey Stephens

Bring your favorite journal, a pen, and an open heart. We look forward to sitting in circle with you. Link in bio to join us. 🌙✨
