It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Donald Hollsten.
For nearly four decades, Dr. Hollsten had the privilege of caring for patients in San Antonio and across the country. To so many, he was a trusted physician and surgeon. To others, a teacher, mentor, colleague, and friend. And to all of us at Eye & Facial Plastic Specialists, he was the heart and foundation of the practice he built.
We know that many of you have known Dr. Hollsten for years – some of you for decades. You trusted him with your care, shared your lives with him, recommended him to your family and friends, and became part of the extended family of this practice. Please know how much those relationships meant to him.
His absence will be felt deeply within these walls, but so with his presence. The values he built this practice upon – excellence, compassion, integrity, and genuine commitment to caring for people – remain at the heart of our practice.
To our patients, colleagues, friends, and everyone who was fortunate enough to know Dr. Hollsten: thank you for being a part of a life and career that meant so much to him.
We will miss him more than words can adequately express, and will always be proud to carry forward what he built.
