Alamo City Eye Physicians is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Daniel Berry, MD, to our medical/surgical team this August.

A native of San Antonio, Dr. Berry is honored to return home to serve the community where he was raised. After completing his undergraduate studies at Baylor University, he earned his medical degree from the Texas Tech Paul Foster School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his specialized medical and surgical ophthalmology training at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock.

As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Berry provides expert care for a wide range of ocular conditions, including:
Advanced Cataract Surgery using the most modern surgical techniques.
Glaucoma Management, specializing in Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS).
Retinal Disease such as Diabetic Retinopathy and Macular Degeneration.
Oculoplastic Surgery, with interest and training in functional eyelid surgery.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Berry enjoys Tennis, Music, Church and family time with his wife, Susanna, and their new daughter, Gloria.
Dr. Berry is currently accepting new patients for appointments beginning in August 2026.

ATTN HUMANA HMO PATIENTS.
Due to changes in your plan, effective 1/1/2026, referrals from your primary care provider are now required for ophthalmic care. Please make sure you P*P has sent over a referral prior to your visit. This is new for ophthalmic care under Humana HMO and many of the P*Ps are unaware of the new change. If you are unsure, please call our office at 210-946-2020.

Alamo City Eye will be closed for the Christmas Holiday from Wednesday, 12/24 to12/28 and will reopen at 7:30am on Monday, 12/29. As always, during office closures, you can reach the physician on call for eye emergencies by calling our office at (210) 946-2020.
