Aid the Silent

Aid the Silent To glorify God by empowering deaf and hard-of-hearing children and teens through access to communication, education, resources, and community.

Aid the Silent was created to help thousands around the world find information about living in today’s society as a deaf or hard-of-hearing individual, to learn about Jesus’ word and to inspire people to embrace their differences. Aid the Silent is dedicated to equip deaf children/teens with the necessary tools and resources to help them find personal success. Through commitment and prayer, Aid th

e Silent dedicates its efforts to providing a platform to raise funds for deaf ministry, deaf research, deaf education and deaf resources. Deaf Ministry: Through our sponsorships deaf children/teens will have the opportunities to attend Christian camps and events. Deaf Research: Funds collected will support organizations that dedicate its efforts to finding treatments and technological advancement that benefit the deaf. Deaf Education: Monies accumulated will support the deaf community through educational institutions and programs by providing funding to train deaf educators. Deaf Resources: Through community donations, Aid the Silent will be able to provide the deaf and hard-of-hearing with equipment and services. We raise the necessary funds to provide HOH/deaf children/teens the tools and resources to help them find personal success. Whether that be through resources such as FM systems or hearing aids, through resources such as speech therapy or learning ASL, or through learning about Jesus through Deaf Young Life meetings and camps. We provide six areas of resources:
1.Hearing Aids
2.FM Systems
3.ASL Lessons (family or individual)
4.Speech Therapy
5.Send HOH/deaf children & teens to faith-based summer camps
6.Deaf Young Life: nondenominational Christian ministry that reaches out into the lives of teenagers to present the Gospel. Deaf Young Life is geared to HOH /deaf teenagers, run by a h HOH /deaf leader with HOH /deaf volunteers as well as volunteers who have a heart for HOH /deaf community. Deaf Young Life events are fully HOH /deaf accessible with captioning & interpreting thus creating a place of unity for the entire community.

The other day, we shared Pastor Ashton's story and how he faithfully serves alongside Aid the Silent, helping us further our mission and make a difference in the lives of deaf and hard of hearing children and families.

When Pastor Ashton reached out to ask if we could help repair his 11-year-old hearing aids, our team knew we wanted to do more.

Instead of simply fixing his old hearing aids, we surprised him with a brand-new pair of state-of-the-art hearing aids.

Pastor Ashton has poured so much of himself into serving others, and it was an honor to give back to someone who has given so much. We know these new hearing aids will help him continue sharing hope, serving his community, and making an even greater impact for years to come.

This is what your support makes possible. Because of the generosity of our donors, we're able to change lives not only for the children we serve, but also for the incredible people who help make our mission possible.

Thank you for helping us create moments like this.

This year, we were also fortunate to award a partial Philip & Barbara Green - Aid the Silent Student Scholarship to one outstanding student.

🎉We are proud to recognize Ryan as this year's partial scholarship recipient. 🎉

This fall, Ryan will be attending the University of North Texas to study Communication Sciences and Disorders, with the goal of becoming a Pediatric Audiologist.

Pathway Update!

Confidence changes everything.

Samantha’s family shared that she is now able to communicate and advocate for herself much more easily. With access to her hearing devices, home life has become more comfortable, and she feels more confident in everyday situations.

Helping a child find their voice and confidence is what a pathway is all about. We are so proud of Samantha and honored to be part of her journey!

If you would like to help support more children like Samantha, you can make a donation at www.aidthesilent.com/donate

✨ Three incredible days of VBS filled with learning, laughter, friendship and faith! 🙌

The Deaf are the third-largest unreached people group in the world when it comes to the Gospel, making accessible opportunities like this so important. 🤟

We are incredibly thankful for Cornerstone Church and its continued commitment to including Deaf and hard-of-hearing kids. 🩷 Aid the Silent partners with Cornerstone Church to provide sign language interpreting, live captioning and bilingual buddies, giving every child the opportunity to participate, connect and experience the God's goodness. ✝️

Thank you to our volunteers, families and everyone who helps create a place where every child is welcomed, valued and included. 🫶
