Kiss the asymmetry goodbye 💋

If you’ve ever noticed that one side of your lips does its own thing, you are definitely not alone. Total facial symmetry is rare, but the good news? It’s completely fixable.

The goal isn’t bigger lips; it’s better balance ✨

Lip filler can enhance shape, restore volume, and improve symmetry while keeping results soft, natural, and proportionate to your features. When performed with precision, filler refreshes the lips without ever looking overdone.

No over-the-top volume unless you want it, just precision and natural harmony🤍

What's the actual difference of a Upper vs. Lower Blepharoplasty? 👀

If you've ever looked in the mirror and felt like your eyes were looking a little tired, even when you're fully rested, you might have looked into eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).

But did you know upper and lower lid procedures do two completely different things?

🔹 Upper Blepharoplasty: This focuses on the upper eyelid skin. Overtime, extra skin can hood over the lash line, sometimes even affecting your peripheral vision. This procedure removes that excess skin and tiny bits of fat to create a lighter, more open, and rested look.

🔹 Lower Blepharoplasty: This targets under eye bags, puffiness, and dark hollows. Instead of just dealing with loose skin, it often redistributes or gently removes underlying fat to smooth out the transition from your lower eyelid to your cheek.

🔹 The Best of Both Worlds: Many patients choose to combine both upper and lower blepharoplasty in a single procedure for total eye rejuvenation, but they can easily be done separately depending on your individual goals!

At the end of the day, it's all about helping your eyes look as refreshed as you feel.

Curious which option is right for you?

Hair restoration isn’t one-size-fits-all. 🌱

If you’re considering a hair transplant, you’ve probably heard the terms FUE and FUT — but what’s the difference?

✨ FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) removes individual hair follicles from the donor area and transplants them into areas of thinning. Because it uses smaller individual incisions at the donor site, it may be a good option for patients who prefer to wear their hair very short.

✨ FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation), also known as the strip method, removes a narrow strip of hair from the donor area before individual follicles are carefully prepared and transplanted into thinning areas. This technique can allow for a larger number of viable grafts and natural-looking results.

Have your fillers stopped giving you the results they once did? If you’re finding yourself needing more filler but seeing less improvement, you’re not alone.

In this video, facial plastic surgeon Dr. Kenneth Yu explains the difference between dermal fillers and facelift surgery, why fillers eventually reach their limits, and how to know when it’s time to consider a different approach.

You’ll learn:

Why fillers and facelifts treat different signs of aging
What causes the “overfilled” look
When sagging skin can’t be corrected with filler alone
How a facelift restores facial structure and jawline definition
Why many patients still benefit from fillers after a facelift

The goal of facial rejuvenation isn’t simply adding volume—it’s choosing the right treatment for the changes happening in your face. Understanding the difference can help you make better long-term decisions about your appearance.

Let's be real.

The idea of downtime can feel a little intimidating. But when you break down the healing timeline, facelift recovery is much more managavke than most people think.

Here's your week by week honest guide:

🔹 THE REST PHASE (days 1-3): expect swelling, tightness, and mild discomfort, which is easily managed with perscribed medication. You'll be resting quietly at home with your head elevated, letting your body do its intital healing work.

🔹 THE TURNING POINT (days 7-10): this is when your sutures come out, an patients are often pleasantly suprised by how much better they feel! bruising starts fading into soft yellows and greens, and you can usually begin wearing light makeup.

🔹 BACK TO BASICS (weeks 2-3): You'll likely feel ready for lowkey social outings, running errands, or heading back to work. Most residual swelling is easily camouflaged by now.

🔹 GETTING ACTIVE AGAIN (month 1): light exercises like walking are back on the table, and you'll start feeling much more like your everyday self, just with a refreshed, glowing look.

🔹 THE FINAL TRANSFORMATION (months 3-6): Deep tissyes continue to settle, minor stiffness completely dissolves, and scars fade into practically invisible lines. this is when your ultimate, natural results truly shine!

Every indiciduals healthing journey is different, and taking the time to rest is just as important as the procedure itself!

Ever wonder what a rhinoplasty actually does beyond the surface?👃✨

While it's often talked about as a cosmetic choice, a nose job is actually a powerful blend of both art and medicine!

Since the nose is the literal center of your face, and your breathing, a rhinoplasty can address both aesthetic goals and functional needs.

🔹 Breathing & Function: it can correct a deviated septum, repair structural issyes, and open up nasal passages to help you breathe easier (and sleep better!).

🔹 Aesthetics Goals: It can smooth out a dorsal hump, refine or lift a drooping nasal tip, narrow a bridge, or straighten a crooked nose.

🔹 Repair: It helps restore form and function following an injury or previous medical procedures.

At its core, a great rhinoplasty is never about changing who you are, its about bringing balance to your features and making sure your nose looks AND feels its best.

Plastic surgery can turn back the clock—but your daily habits determine how long the results last.

One of the most common questions Dr. Kenneth Yu hears is: “How can I make my results last as long as possible?”

Long-term results depend on more than the procedure itself. Consistent sunscreen, quality skincare, healthy nutrition, stable weight, proper sleep, stress management, and avoiding smoking can all help preserve a refreshed, youthful appearance.

In this video, Dr. Yu explains how to protect your investment and when maintenance treatments, such as lasers or injectables, may help support your results over time.

August is Month, a reminder that you're not alone if you've noticed thinning hair or a receding hairline. 🤍

Hair loss can affect both men and women, and while it's common, it doesn't have to be something you simply accept.

If you're looking for a long-term solution, hair transplant surgery can restore natural-looking hair by strategically relocating healthy hair follicles to areas experiencing thinning or hair loss. The result is hair that grows naturally and is designed to last.
