Two Ways to Pay Less for Your Prescriptions
If your co-pays are too high or you don’t have insurance, these two free resources are worth knowing about.

Rx Outreach (rxoutreach.org) - A U.S. nonprofit, mail-order pharmacy with low, set prices on medications.

No insurance, income check, or membership required. If you’re in the U.S. with a valid prescription, search their site for your medication, have your provider send the prescription, and it ships to you free. They also run special assistance programs offering free medications to those who qualify based on income and other criteria.

Best for chronic condition medications like diabetes, cholesterol, and blood pressure and for anyone who can wait a few days for delivery.

RxLess (rxless.com) - A free savings platform with discount cards and coupons accepted at pharmacies nationwide (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and more). No application, income requirements, insurance, or fees. Search your medication on the site or app to see real-time discounted prices near you, then show the coupon to your pharmacist at checkout. Their “Assurance Plan” guarantees you’ll never pay more than the quoted price.

Best for immediate savings at your local counter. No waiting, no mail order.

You are not losing your mind. You are being renovated. The pregnant brain doesn’t decline, it reorganizes. Mostly in the areas that handle empathy and reading other people. Researchers call it fine-tuning. So the fog is real. It’s just not failure. But being remade is hard, and nobody should sit in a renovation alone. Postpartum Support Group starts this September. Some things only happen because someone says yes. Thank you to Book Nerd for offering us a space for our Postpartum Support Group. Because of you, this group will run twice a month for the rest of 2026.

Therapy shouldn’t be a luxury. Care should always meet you where you are.
At Blackbird Counseling & Wellness, we offer a sliding scale so your budget doesn’t decide whether you get support. This fee structure essentially operates as a form of mutual aid, with three tiers of session fees from which to choose. We provide suggested guidelines and trust our clients to honestly assess which tier accurately reflects their resources and proximity to privilege. Clients with more financial privilege can choose to “pay it forward” and in doing so, directly subsidize reduced-fee spots for those who are marginalized or underemployed. The selected rate is mutually agreed upon between client and therapist, and can be revisited at any time.
