Community First Health Plans was established in 1995, by the University Health System, specifically to begin providing health care coverage to the citizens of Bexar and the surrounding seven c

ounties. As the only locally owned and managed, non-profit health plan in the area, our commitment to our members is to provide great health care benefits backed by outstanding service, delivered by people who live right here in South Texas. Summer is officially here! Find strength in a safe and healthy summer with these simple tips:

☀️ Sun Safety: Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen every two hours and wear hats and sunglasses to protect against UV rays.
💧 Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you are not thirsty, to prevent heat exhaustion.
🏊 Water Safety: Never leave children unattended near water and always designate a "water watcher" during swims.
🚗 Vehicle Safety: Never leave children or pets in a parked car, as temperatures can reach dangerous levels in minutes.

Stay cool and have a fun, safe summer!
