We are so very grateful for Dr. Anthony Tolcher's leadership, inspiration and passion. Thank you, Dr. Tolcher, and many best wishes on your next adventure!

A MESSAGE FROM DR. ANTHONY TOLCHER:
I am pleased to announce that after 40 years in Medicine, and nearly 20 years building START initially and then over the last 8 years NEXT Oncology, I am retiring at the end of July.

Being a phase 1 medical oncologist has been the best career I could have hoped for and I have witnessed first hand such amazing progress from the innovation in science, Biotech, and Pharma.

I will certainly miss my patients in San Antonio and around the World but know they are all in great hands with the 23 doctors I have hired over the years. We built a deep bench that will allow NEXT to continue to grow and expand to benefit all thoses who seek new treatments when standard therapies no longer work.
To my colleagues and friends at NEXT across 4 continents, I want to express my gratitude and admiration for building the best Phase I oncology network in the World.

I will continue to support the NEXT team from the sidelines, and continue to consult and contribute to my Biotech and Pharma partners so that together we can hasten the development of meaningful new therapies.

DIA China reinforced how rapidly innovation in oncology drug development is expanding across the globe. Some of the most promising new cancer therapies are now emerging through collaborative efforts spanning from Asia to the United States. To accelerate development and bring these treatments to patients faster, it is increasingly important for clinical sites, CROs, and pharmaceutical companies to work together across geographies and healthcare systems.

A clinical trial now open at NEXT – Dallas under Principal Investigator Shiraj Sen is studying Tubulis GmbH's TUB-040, an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) for women with ovarian cancer, including those whose disease has become resistant to platinum-based treatments. It is designed to deliver therapy directly to cancer cells while limiting effects on healthy tissue.

Clinical trials are an important option for some patients and play a critical role in advancing care.
