Today’s talk with Dr.Deeves I talk about the importance of minimizing time out of work when taking disability leave, as research shows longer absences reduce the likelihood of returning to the workforce. I explain that after 12 weeks, there’s a 50% chance of not returning, and after 6 months, a 20% chance of never returning. Our goal is to provide a temporary rest, not permanent disability.
