Alright, Counselors, Therapists, and Recovery Coaches! The Addiction Counselor Training School will provide our continuing education on 4 Saturdays, beginning February 28, March 8, 21, and 28.

We're looking for instructors to teach 3-hour classes, share important information, and discuss your facility. The topics may be HIV/STD/TB/Hep C, Ethics, Cultural Sensitivity, Clinical Supervision, Trauma, Trafficking, drug trends with THC, or any other topics that pique your interest.

Instructors will be paid, and will be able to choose one class from this series for each class they teach.

Classes will be held from 9 AM to noon and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM each Saturday. Please call our office at 210-541-8400 to reserve a seat and pay for your class. Certificates will be provided at the end of the session, and each three-hour course will cost $25. If you would like to teach, please get in touch with our office at 210-541-8400, and we will add you to the schedule. These classes are approved for continuing education and recertification for LCDCs, Peer Recovery Support Specialists, Mental Health Peer Specialists, RSPS and PSS, and Licensed Therapists and Counselors.

We have changed our schedule for continuing education at the Addiction Counselor Training School. We are also posting a reminder about the LCDC test prep course.

Here is the schedule for the last two weeks of continuing education for Master-level therapists, LCDCs, and Recovery coaches. All of our instructors have between 20 and 40 years of experience.

Other exciting news!!

On June 21, 2025, the Addiction Counseling Training School will provide a one-day LCDC test prep. Linsey Martin, MA, LPCA, will facilitate the course. The cost is $150, and there is a test prep manual. You can purchase the test prep manual before the class starts or if you will be available for sale during the training. All right, everyone! It's time for CEUs from the Addiction Counselor Training School. We will present 3-hour courses in person on October 12, 19, 26, and November 2. The 1st course each Saturday will be from 9 AM-12 noon. The 2nd course will be after lunch from 1:30-4:30 PM. Please pay in advance as seating is limited.
For those who couldn't attend the TAAP conference, we will provide CEUs on Ethics, HIV & STIs, Clinical Supervision, and cultural sensitivity.

Offering these courses around the TAAP conference seems strange, but that's how our classes are scheduled.
I am also seeking an instructor for Nov-Dec 2023 for Counseling Skills to teach on Tuesdays from 5-9 p.m. and Saturdays from 9-5 p.m. for four weeks and to make some great money for the Holidays.

Call me if you want to teach a 3 hour course in October November of some required CEU's for renewal or some exciting new topics. Let me know if you would like to teach the class on Counseling Theories in November – December 2023.
