Remembering the important role father's have on their families. My Daddy taught me what love is by teaching me to honor God, to believe in his Son, Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and to receive the Holy Spirit as my source of wisdom. He didn't just teach it though, he lived it by working hard for his family, and producing products that were par excellent. We spent time talking about life, diving into important topics. He came by my side in my sorrows. He took time to adventure with me and my children. He possessed a sensitive and kind nature. I love my Daddy. Happy father's day in heaven.

As I counsel I see many people who are only a shadow of themselves. They haven't developed a solid sense of who they are. I can tell someone they are worthy and valuable, but for them to internalize it I must demonstrate it through my actions. The story of the Velveteen Rabbit always resonated with me. To feel lovable you must be loved.

I've been off the radar for awhile navigating some health issues, along with balancing my business and personal life. One thing I am learning is the importance of humility. So much has happened in my life that I don't understand, and I question unceasingly. There are not answers for everything. The dots do not always connect. Humility for me has meant letting go of knowing. This has enabled me to be more in touch with what I am feeling. While there are questions that go unanswered I have more confidence, because as I develop the virtue of humility I can embrace my humanity. God is my rock.
