Get to know our new EMS fellow Dr. David Lindow ‼️
David grew up in Utah, where a love of the outdoors fostered an appreciation for adventure, teamwork, and service. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management and Administration from Utah Valley University while working as a paramedic, then went on to complete medical school at the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine. After finishing Emergency Medicine residency in Houston, Texas, he’s excited to continue his training as an EMS Fellow at UT Health San Antonio.
What drew him to EMS? He loves being the first on scene and providing lifesaving care when every minute matters. For David, there’s nothing more rewarding than bringing emergency medicine directly to patients and making critical interventions before they ever reach the hospital. In his words, *”The earlier we can intervene, the better the chance we have to improve a patient’s outcome.”*
His professional interests include prehospital critical care, medical education, disaster response, and advancing EMS systems to better support both providers and the communities they serve.
Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids, who keep him busy and are at the center of everything he does. Whether they’re exploring the outdoors, making family memories, or simply enjoying time together, his family is his greatest adventure.
From the back of an ambulance to the emergency department—and now serving the communities of South Texas—we’re excited to have Dr. Lindow on the team. Welcome! 👏
