Meet Amber Nugent, RRT/RCP, one of the dedicated respiratory therapists at our Houston branch. Amber joined Wave with more than 13 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including 10 years at Texas Children’s Hospital where she worked primarily in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.

In addition to her clinical experience, Amber also served as an Adjunct Teacher at San Jacinto College, teaching pediatric and neonatal critical care courses in their Respiratory Therapy program.

Amber has a strong passion for the pediatric patient community and believes the greatest goal of pediatric care is building a culture of trust, respect, and compassion with patients and families.

Each year, team members have the opportunity to participate in Building Business Excellence, a leadership and personal development course designed to help them grow professionally and personally.

Emerald, from our team shared: "My biggest takeaway from the BBE was learning more about myself and how I communicate with others. I enjoyed learning about the different personality types and realizing that everyone has their own way of thinking and approaching situations. Understanding those differences will help me communicate better and build stronger relationships at work and in everyday life."
